I managed to get enough spun in the last three days so that tomorrow I get to ply!
This makes me very happy -- it means that by the end of the week, I'll be able to alternate between spinning, plying, and knitting. I like breaking it up like this, less strain doing just one thing at a time.
And I've changed my plans slightly, but more on that once I have some plied yarn to show here.
On to the Stage Four time trial (but no race against the clock tomorrow for me!)

I worked hard today to find cotton fibers and then the spindle!!! My housekeeping is much worse than my spinning. I remember when I was learning to spin wool, that I had to make a rule that I could only spin when I was 100%. Otherwise I made mistakes, I got all tangled up and I was more frustrated than satisfied. If I was really sick, I couldn't spin, really exhausted, couldn't spin, mind on a big problem, couldn't spin. I spent lots of time getting frustrated, so I made that rule for myself. Now spinning is like meditation and it is calming and centering. But that was wool, now I'm trying to learn to spin cotton on a supported spindle and it's HARD. But this will give me ample opportunity to finally get into the groove. Thanks for the challenge.
