I managed to get enough spun in the last three days so that tomorrow I get to ply!
This makes me very happy -- it means that by the end of the week, I'll be able to alternate between spinning, plying, and knitting. I like breaking it up like this, less strain doing just one thing at a time.
And I've changed my plans slightly, but more on that once I have some plied yarn to show here.
On to the Stage Four time trial (but no race against the clock tomorrow for me!)

This is SO good for me! I've now spun TWO DAYS IN A ROW!! ;-) Even though I only had a few minutes to spin, before leaving for work this afternoon ~ instead of playing on the computer, I DID SPIN. I will post some pictures on my blog tomorrow for sure....

Nancy, I agree! When I sit down for my 10 minutes, it is turning into 30 -45. I'm a newbie spinning with a drop spindle (for now). The first two days went very well but yesterday I couldn't seem to get it together. My spindle kept dropping. I waited until 9:30 at night to get started so I was tired. I managed 10 minutes but I was frustrated the entire time. Today's a clean slate and I know I need to start earlier in the day!

I'm sick today. Queasy stomach. I did get some spinning done this morning and updated my blog. Then I went to work. Then I came home (sick). Now I'm gonna spin some more...... :-)

Well, as often happens, life rolled over me on Monday and no crafting got done. :( But I refuse to surrender. So I made sure to spin a bit today. Since I had to reassemble my wheel and get it spinning in order to meet my goal, I'm pretty impressed with myself, seeing as how I'm a rank newbie. And my spinning settled down and looked respectable right away, instead of my usual preliminary several yards of cat barf. Life's looking up. I'm now thoroughly relaxed, and heading for bed. G'Night all! :)
