I'll have a fuller post on my progress today tomorrow -- it's also F1 season, and since it's the only thing the Tech Guy really watches, I'm giving him first dibs on the television tomorrow morning, instead of watching the Tour in real time myself.
Fortunately, Canal Evasion does a repeat in the evening, so I'll catch up with things then. But nobody tell me what happens, okay?
I'm still busy signing people up today, and if you're bound and determined to start today, but you haven't heard from me or don't see your name on the list of participants, not to worry. Just start, and I'll see that you get there, whether it's later tonight or tomorrow morning.
Speaking of the participants -- I got the Tech Guy to make a page with the list of everyone signed up. There are links to those of you who gave me a blog or website URL, and I encourage everyone to take some time now and then to go and see what others are up to. There are some really neat things going on already, and I'm really looking forward to the next three weeks!

Okay, I just now decided that I'm in! I'm a novice hand spindle spinner, and I have 6 bundles of roving to be spun into a yarn like structure... I'll do the blog thing and send the official email tonight when I get home from work...

Eeek, to think I almost missed this! I have a nice bag of pale silvery green merino/tencel (I think) that I will spin into enough fingering weight for a shawl. I think there's about 8 oz there, I think it will be enough. But first, I have to finish 2 oz of BFL that's on the wheel 1/2 done...

I joined in at the last minute. My tour challenge is to spin up some of my custom blended alpaca/tencel sliver. I want to spin it as fine as I can, do a 3 ply and knit a pair of socks for my husband. He is an avid bike rider and he will be my product tester. My goal is to create a washable/dryable alpaca blend yarn. I think I've got it but the challenge will tell!!
