I'll have a fuller post on my progress today tomorrow -- it's also F1 season, and since it's the only thing the Tech Guy really watches, I'm giving him first dibs on the television tomorrow morning, instead of watching the Tour in real time myself.
Fortunately, Canal Evasion does a repeat in the evening, so I'll catch up with things then. But nobody tell me what happens, okay?
I'm still busy signing people up today, and if you're bound and determined to start today, but you haven't heard from me or don't see your name on the list of participants, not to worry. Just start, and I'll see that you get there, whether it's later tonight or tomorrow morning.
Speaking of the participants -- I got the Tech Guy to make a page with the list of everyone signed up. There are links to those of you who gave me a blog or website URL, and I encourage everyone to take some time now and then to go and see what others are up to. There are some really neat things going on already, and I'm really looking forward to the next three weeks!

Is it too late to sign up? I have some lovely Merino Silk that is about 1/2 spun... I'd like to get it done by the end of the tour. That would be around a pound left.

Saturday - We're hosting the family get-together for the fourth on the fifth (today) but everything that could be readied was by about 2 pm so I sat down to spin for my goal of one hour -- HA! About 15 minutes later I thought of some other things that needed done before my sister and her husband showed up. Then I sat down to spin -- this went on several times, and I accumulated about 40 minutes of the goal before the whole clan arrived. They were all gone and the clean up accomplished by 9 - actually got in about 70 minutes of spinning! I finished up some fleece I started when we had a guild workshop and did some color blending, then started on a pound of alpaca/silk blend that has been too long in the stash. I'm really looking forward to seeing how much can be spun during the Tour - and what kind of a dent spinning for an hour a day will make. Luckily, the hubby is supportive and encouraged me to sit and spin - we'll see tomorrow!

Katherine, I tried to email you to sign up, but it bounced for some reason.
Anyway, I'm in. I'd love to finish spinning/plying some fibers I started spinning a long time ago -- if I can just do that, I'll be happy.

I would like to sign up!
My goal is to pull my spindle out of the closet and actually learn how to spin and spin one skein of yarn.

I would like to join, I am a brand new spinner, I got my first fiber and wheel just after mothers day this year. I am also brand new to blogging, but I am going to try to report on my spinning for tout de fleece on my blog. My goal is to spin every day, even if it is only 15 minutes.
