Epilogue

The Tour de Fleece 2006 thanks all that participated, and especially those who generously donated to the Dyana Afghan Women's Fund either through PayPal or by purchasing Tour de Fleece items at the Café Press store.  The money raised through these two sources has allowed me to make a donation to DAWF of CA$80.00 on behalf of Le Tour de Fleece.

Thanks to everyone for making this adventure a success!  It's been a lot of fun seeing everyone's progress and I hope it encourages you to continue to challenge yourself with new spinning goals.

It's all in the details

Hi, all,

By now, everyone who was listed as having won a prize should have received an email from me requesting their snail mail address.  If you didn't get one, and think you should have, please do write to me -- I've been having some internet problems, most specifically with mail, the last couple of days.  We think that the intense heat wave we're under might be responsible, but the upshot is, it takes me several tries to get a message sent, and very little mail will download.

And if you got more than one message, I apologize.  No idea if that will happen, but I'm expecting anything these days :-)

We'll do the draw for the Fleece Artist prize very shortly.  I know I said July 31st was the deadline for CafePress purchases or donations, but I'll check right up 'til the moment I do the draw (later today or tomorrow, I think), and if your name is there, you'll have an entry.  I'll contact the winner via email, as well as making a post here.

Finally, thanks to those who participated and gave it their all, and thanks to those who donated some prizes to make things a little sweeter at the end.  I've been a cycling fan for about ten years now, and I have to say this has been the most difficult year I can remember (and here I thought the Festina affair was going to be the worst!).  But having Le Tour de Fleece going on this year has made me feel a little better about everything that's happened lately.
